🕛 Seoul Museum Of Art Opening Hours
The origin of the Seoul Museum of Art dates back over thirty years. It was initially launched in the Gyeonghuigung Palace area on August 19, 1988. The original museum only had six exhibition rooms and an outdoor sculpture park. Fast forward fourteen years, SeMA shifted to its current location behind Deoksugung Palace. It is in an old Korean Supreme Court building and features three floors of exhibition halls, a basement with lecture halls, a connected administration annex, offices, and classrooms.
SeMA’s mission is to be a network museum that users, mediators, and producers strive to build together. As such, its temporary and permanent exhibitions address various facets of history, culture, art, and lifestyle. The museum also offers free public art classes in Korean traditional arts, lectures, and docent programs in English and Korean to further its mission.
