Where should you eat on Nami Island? There are six sit-down restaurants, seven cafés, and a row of street-food stalls. The restaurants cover Korean set meals, Chuncheon dak-galbi, pasta, pizza, and an Asian menu with halal-friendly dishes, and four have pet-friendly terrace seating. The longest snack lines are for hotteok and charcoal-grilled sausage, and pine nut gelato, sold near the ferry, is a local specialty. Each place below comes with where it is on the island and what to order.

Nammoon Korean restaurant is large, clean, and the perfect place to experience traditional Korean food like Seafood Spicy Soft Tofu Stew, bulgogi, bibimbap, Korean pancake, makgeolli, and more. There are seats for guests with pets on the outdoor terrace area, as one of the best restaurants on Nami Island. The most popular dish is the seafood spicy soft tofu stew and the Nammoon special, with bulgogi, soybean stew (doenjang jjigae), and vegetables. The Chuncheon region is famous for its dak-galbi, spicy grilled chicken and vegetables, as one of the best restaurants on Nami Island, . Come and enjoy dak-galbi and other Korean-style meats at Seomhyanggi. The most popular dish is the all-in-one menu with pork, duck, sausage meats, and vegetables. If you are craving Western food, check out Gomok restaurant. They mainly serve pasta, salads, desserts, and sides like buffalo wings and french fries. The great thing about Gomok is you can have a meal with coffee and dessert all in one place with your furry friends. They are pet-friendly and conveniently located in the Pine Tree Lane. Asian Family Restaurant Dongmoon, as one of the best restaurants on Nami Island, is a fusion restaurant where you can try Black soy bean noodles with bulgogi topping, Spicy Octopus Jjampoong noodles, Nasi Goreng, fried chicken, and more. The portions and the restaurant are big; it is Muslim and Halal-friendly. There is something to eat for the entire family. Afterward, if you have children, you can go to the Hei’s School Club, next to Dongmoon. They have a big slide and playground for kids.

Ddanji Pub restaurant, as one of the best restaurants on Nami Island, has a variety of foods like pizza, pasta, and hamburgers. The oven-baked pizzas are available in four different toppings: mushroom, cheese, margarita, and pepperoni. They have take-out boxes just in case you can’t finish them, and they also provide extra hot sauce and parmesan cheese. They have a specialty Nami Island beer called KKangta to complement your meal. Another great thing about Ddanji Pub is their special pizza cooking classes for children, as one of the best restaurants on Nami Island. Your children will love experiencing making pizza and trying it.

A little different than the rest of the restaurants on Nami Island, Yeongajiga evokes nostalgia with its lunchbox-style menus. It offers a variety of lunch boxes, starting from the cheapest old-school lunch box (₩8,000), spam mayo lunch box (₩9,000), and spicy stir-fried pork lunch box (₩10,000). Tonkatsu is highly recommended from the menu, as well as the spicy cold noodles with kimchi. The setting is cozy, perfectly complementing the nostalgic dining style.

Collations de l'île de Nami

Nami Sausage & Churros 남이 소세지&츄로스

La ligne de la saucisse sera comprise une fois que vous l'aurez essayée. La saucisse a été cuite au charbon de bois et le jus éclate dans la bouche. Il est bien assaisonné et est délicieux avec du ketchup, de la moutarde et de la bière sans alcool. C'est l'une des collations les plus savoureuses de l'île de Nami. Si vous cherchez quelque chose de sucré, goûtez les churros ! Les churros chauds et sucrés sont une excellente collation à déguster dans un paysage magnifique.

Sottumak Pain cuit à la vapeur

Les petits pains cuits à la vapeur sont le dessert parfait en hiver mais aussi toute l'année. Les petits pains cuits à la vapeur sont cuits avec du bois de chauffage et se déclinent en trois saveurs différentes : original, riz noir et citrouille sucrée. La garniture est la même pour les trois petits pains et le prix est bas, environ 1 $, mais la portion est relativement petite, vous pouvez donc opter pour plus. Soyez prudent lorsque vous l'essayez car il fait chaud ! La garniture sucrée aux haricots rouges n’est pas trop sucrée.

Pancake bonhomme de neige (Hotteok)

L'une des files d'attente les plus longues sera celle du hotteok, surtout en hiver. Une fois que vous aurez essayé le hotteok avec du café, vous aurez envie de faire à nouveau la queue. Le dessert sucré est frit dans de l'huile chaude avec de la cassonade fondante et des noix à la cannelle. C'est l'un des plats de rue d'hiver les plus populaires en Corée, mais aussi toute l'année sur l'île de Nami.

Brochette de poulet et maïs grillé au beurre 닭꼬치&옥수수

Les brochettes de maïs grillé et de poulet de l'île de Nami sont d'excellents plats de rue si vous voulez quelque chose de sucré et salé. Le maïs beurré est un peu plus populaire. Il a un goût sucré et la saveur du beurre complète toute l’expérience culinaire. Les brochettes de poulet sont cuites sur du charbon de bois pour une texture dodue et plus moelleuse. La brochette est enveloppée de papier d'aluminium et tartinée de sauce sucrée. La sauce n'était pas assez étouffée pour moi, mais elle était bonne.

Si vous recherchez quelque chose mais n'êtes pas sûr, rendez-vous au petit marché en face de Nami Wharf. Vous pouvez trouver de tout, des besoins quotidiens aux boissons. Ils servent également des glaces de différentes saveurs.

Book Pond Cafe is a relaxing cafe that can be enjoyed inside and outside. Inside and outside, you can enjoy quiet time reading books displayed there. Inside the cafe, it feels like you are in a small house from a story, and outside, it feels like you are in the middle of a forest. Breathe in the fresh air as you read through your favorite books. The books there seem to be storybooks mostly. During the weekend on Nami Island, there might be special musical events. I recommend grabbing a coffee here and finding a seat outside to hear the music. It’ll be a healing time for you.

Le Café du livre on Nami Island is a great place to rest along the walking path and also a great place to watch the raindrops when it is raining on Nami Island. They have various dessert menus, and their specialty is the Green tea latte. The cafe has seats inside and outside with a large open window to view the green scenery. The desserts range from small cakes to ice cream to drinks and breads. It is not as quiet as you may picture a book cafe to be. It felt like a regular cafe, but I liked the atmosphere and food.

Meta Lounge

You can easily spot Meta Lounge right after you arrive at Nami Island on the ferry. The two-storey establishment has large windows overlooking the water and the surroundings. In addition to coffee and tea, it serves non-coffee beverages, signature drinks, craft beer, and desserts. It is a perfect place to relax and unwind after a ferry ride.

Swing Cafe & Bakery is another one of the pet-friendly cafes on Nami Island. Located on the banks of the Bukhan River, its theme is based on Nami Island’s Song Museum. It also holds stage performances and exhibitions to entertain guests. The highlight is the delicious desserts, especially the fluffy croissants.

If coffee is not your thing, have a cup of tea at Tea House Chadam. It offers a variety of teas, including pure tea, signature blended tea, herbal tea, and tea latte. There are also tea snacks, such as green tea gelato, milk tea gelato, red bean yanggaeng, and monaka red bean and butter bread. You can also purchase tea, tea cups, and souvenirs to bring back home.

Winter Sonata fans must visit the iconic Sonata Cafe on Nami Island. Its wooden, traditional decor makes for stunning backdrops for photos. This is where you can try the infamous “Nami Island Sweet Rice Ssiat Hotteok’ and cooling ice flake sundaes. Choose from coffee, latte, and tea.

Café Nami Wharf

The cafe at Nami Island Wharf is a great place to relax and get an energy pick-up before exploring more. It is perfectly located at the front of the island and a great place for the whole family to find a quick snack and drink.

In front of Nami Island, before you board the ferry, there is an art cafe that serves pine nut gelato and pine nut latte. These desserts are only in Gapyeong, so I couldn’t resist. The pine nut gelato was only one scoop; the taste was deep and delicious. I wanted to eat the entire gallon. The creamy texture of the latte and milk was a perfect combination. The drink was warm and hearty. I definitely want to go to Snow Café nouveau.
