Boseong Green Tea Festival 2023
One of South Korea’s most notable tea cultural festivals, the Boseong Green Tea Festival 2023, will be held from April 29th to May 7th in the charming and picturesque tea fields of Boseong, South Korea. The area is renowned for its rich history and prominent status as the largest tea production location and the birthplace of the tea industry. The “Dahyangje” tea culture event was first held in May 1985 and has since grown into a prominent festival.
In today’s fast-paced world, the need for relaxation and rejuvenation is greater than ever, and the lush green tea fields provide a peaceful atmosphere to recharge the body and mind. Against the stunning tea field scenery, visitors can participate in green tea-themed activities such as tea leaf picking, tea-making, creating personalized tea blends, and green tea therapy, all of which offer physical, emotional, and mental benefits.
The festival will take place at the Korea Tea Culture Park, which is situated within the Boseong Tea Fields, and it attracts not only tea enthusiasts but also families and tourists from across the globe. Since being designated as a cultural festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in 2012, it has become a national event with diverse programs such as the National Student Tea Etiquette Competition, the Korean Famous Tea Selection Competition, and tea-making and tea-leaf picking experiences.
With the Boseong Tea Fields gaining recognition as a popular filming location for movies and commercials, it has become a renowned destination and was even voted the number one place students want to visit.
